The problem

The cable was never the good part.

You love having maps and music on the big screen. Plugging in on every trip, not so much.

Cables wear out.

They fray, get loose and stop connecting halfway through a drive.

Your phone's port takes a beating.

Plugging in several times a day wears it down over time.

Your phone ends up anywhere.

Sliding around the cupholder, the passenger seat or the floor.

The fix

Plug it in once. Leave it there.

Your phone stays in your pocket or bag, and CarPlay or Android Auto starts on its own when you start the car.

How it works

Set up once. Done for good.

  1. Step 1

    Plug in

Plug the adapter into the USB port you use for CarPlay or Android Auto. It fits USB-A and USB-C.

  2. Step 2

    Pair once

Connect your phone over Bluetooth and follow the prompts on your car's screen. No app needed.

  3. Step 3

    Auto-connects every drive

From then on, your phone connects on its own every time you start the car.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Will it work with my car?
If your car already has wired CarPlay or Android Auto, it should. Plug your phone in with a cable: if CarPlay or Android Auto appears on screen, this adapter works for you. It doesn't work with Huawei phones, Tesla vehicles, some BMW models, or cars without wired CarPlay or Android Auto. You'll need iOS 10 or later on iPhone, or Android 11 or later. Use the checker.
How do I install it?
Plug it into the USB port you use for CarPlay or Android Auto, then pair your phone over Bluetooth once. It takes about two minutes. No tools, no wiring and no app.
Is there a delay when it connects?
Wireless takes a little longer than a cable to connect after you start the car, usually a matter of seconds depending on your car and phone. Once connected, maps, music and calls work as usual. You may notice a slight delay when skipping songs, which is normal for any wireless connection.
Will it drain my car battery?
It draws a small amount of power from the USB port, similar to a phone cable. Most cars turn off USB power when the engine is off. If yours keeps the port powered, unplug the adapter when you park for several days.
Does my phone charge while connected?
No. The adapter connects wirelessly, so it doesn't charge your phone. Wireless also uses your phone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, which uses a bit more battery. On long drives, use a car charger or charging pad.
Can I use it in more than one car?
Yes. Unplug it, plug it into the other car and pair again. If you switch cars often, the 2-pack lets you keep one in each.
How long does shipping take, and how do I track my order?
Shipping is free. Orders ship from our US warehouse within 1–3 business days, and delivery takes 3–8 business days. You'll get a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships. Shipping Policy.
